Attica - Clarabell Lohmeyer Bannon, 93, formerly of Attica, died at 9:45 a.m. Nov 9, 1996 in Elderly Care Nursing Center, Macon, Mississippi. She was born in Warren County Oct 5, 1903, daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Kirchoff Lohmeyer. She married Lawrence "Larry" Bannon May 31, 1932 in Covington. He preceded in death June 21, 1984. She was raied in Warren County and attended school in Warren County. She had lived in Attica for 60 years, later moving to Tuscaloosa, Ala and Eutaw, Ala. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Attica First United Methodist Church and had been active in the WSCS in the church. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Ann (Charles) Swanson, Eutaw, ala; and Rita Sue (Richard) Mollison, Sebastopot, Calif; a stepdaughter, Martha Bell Smith, Sun City, Calif; three grandsons, Danny, Bruce and Steve Swanson; two granddaughters, Sally Swanson Robbins and Amy Mollison and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica with Rev. Jeff Newton officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Friends may call the funeral home after 5 p.m. today (Tuesday). Memorial contributions may be made to the Attica First United Methodist Church.
